Hi Sophie,

Just for information changing the date to 01.01.1900 under tool/options/Calc solved the problem. In fact with the default 30.12.1899, applying a number format to this date #01/01/1900 00:00:00# return 2 in Calc and it returns 0 in Base. I don't understand completly why it's different, but it's not a Base problem but a Calc (or a Sophie) one, so sorry for the noise :)

The whole issue with the origin of dates expressed as a number in Calc comes from the need for a scheme that's compatible with Excel. In Excel, the 0 date corresponds to 31 December 1899, so far so good except for some reason they convinced themselves that 1900 was a leap year (which it wasn't). This meant that in order to have the same numeric value most of the time (from 1 March 1900 on) and not replicate the mistake of considering 1900 a leap year, Calc has its date 0 origin on 30 December, 1899 (and is off by day with dates entered in Excel between 1 January 1900 and 29 (!) February 1900).
