libmysqlcppconn is the Connection/C++ (Ulf/Andrey: correct me if I'm
wrong), which indeed is not yet finalized. So, yes, this might break
again until the real 1.0 release.
Actually they claim have released a 1.0 already ;-)

Alpha 1.0.1 - xx/xx/2008
With an ABI/API change in a *micro* release, and it seems they didn't
change SONAME. Not very promising. .oO ( mdbtools )
Well, in the first place there was no SONAME and we got a complaint,
that there is none. We constantly change the API/ABI and if we just bump
the number soon we will be around libmysqlcppconn.so.100 :)
The released version is a preview, we have more recent sources in your
svn server but I think they won't work as the breakthrough sources which
compile inside OO.org and thus don't crash because OO.org uses stlport
are only on my HDD but soon to be committed as we are switching work
back to C/OO.org. Once we reach beta stage the API won't change, the ABI
could, but only if the class MySQL_Connection changes, but we might find
a way to overcome this.
