Hi, My name is Evan Klitzke and I've been a Fedora user for more than ten years now. I'm interested in taking the next steps and contributing to the Fedora project more meaningfully by becoming a package maintainer.
My interests include software development of all kinds, particularly in C++, Python, and Go. I write a lot about my interests on my blog at https://eklitzke.org/ , which lately has been a lot of low-level stuff related to things like x86 assembly, linkers and loaders, ptrace, and so on which is what I've been working with and learning a lot about recently. I wrote a novel Python profiler called Pyflame that can collect detailed profiling data from Python processes.[1] It's implemented in C++ and uses ptrace(2) to repeatedly attach/detach from processes to collect stack trace data. I filed an ITP and hope to find someone to help review and sponsor my package.[2] I think it is a pretty interesting project, and it's the first package I'm trying to get into Fedora -- but once I get into the swing of things I have more code that I want to help maintain! On a personal note, I live and work in San Francisco. Hopefully I can meet some of you in real life, as I know there are a number of community members who either live out here or travel here regularly.
