Have had the same problem I think.
All the messages from [EMAIL PROTECTED] were rejected because fetchmail
didn't knew the [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I solved it by making a virtueal domein called ispdomein.com and now
everything is working well!

We too have had various problems using fetchmail.
Some depend on the ISP, others when using virtual domains.
I upgraded fetchmail to 5.6.1., as this supports the use of ISP's that use
qmail somewhat better (especially the "dropdelivered" - option of
5.fetchmail 5.4 and later)
Do you use a dial-up connection ?
And it would help if you could post your /etc/fetchmail - file
(ofcourse without the user/password info :) )
