Implementing the changes you suggested 'breaks' the ability to perform a 
domain login.  Upon trying to logon to the domain, the user is met with 
subsequent Windows dialog boxes stating the profile directory is invalid, 
unable to write the profile, reverting to implementing a temporary 
profile and all in all this truly creates a mess for the Windows 
workstation and the administrator to clean up afterwards.
