Who knows - that's why this is a development list. If you download it and
test it and report back here you are participating in the development of
SME 5.0. This is not a tech support list. It's up to you to decide
whether or you try it out and it's totally at your own risk.

That's a good attitude to take with production servers but it's a bit
unadventurous if you want to extend your knowledge about SME 5.0

The task with the recent samba upgrades is to develop a blade that
performs well with SME 5.0. If you aren't interested in participating in
the development just stick with the current support release until the new
version is stable and gets Mitel's stamp of approval (at which point it
will be released as a blade). Of course without developers and testers it
may never get released - that's why this list exists really.

Given that this is the official development list for SME 5.0 it's hard to
see how anything developed here is a fork. Particularly in relation to
the samba upgrade, which encompasses support for win2k domain
authentication, something I know the Mitel developers want to achieve in a
stable fashion. Welcome to the wide inclusive world of open source
development!
