Brandon, I am presently on chapter one of that book. I picked up the second edition at the bookstore for only $7.99USD. It was quite a bargain over the original price. So far so good, but I have already run into a problem with one of the examples.
Maybe I should post it here if I don't get any help from my local LUG... As for any reference books, I have only been recommended one other book and it is the pocket reference. All the other reference material is freely available online as Rich mentioned earlier.
