Just wanted to offer this...

I bundled a little Perl script with this that will recursively copy a given file 
(index.php) through a specified directory structure.  Works pretty well if you are 
actively creating new directories and need the index.php file copied to each 
directory.  Easily scheduled to run through a cron.daily job as well.
