PMJI, but I have long used the iANS system on Netware (not known for 
being a slouch, speed-wise).  There are a number of benefits, the two 
main ones being:

Adapter teaming (bandwidth aggregation), which will effectively 
allows up to 4 NIC's full bandwith each on reads from the server 
(only on a switch, though).  

Load balancing, which works well on Netware - I'm inclined to give it 
a try with SME now that we have a driver which can be used with it. 

A side benefit is failover support if a NIC goes bad, but I've never 
seen this happen.
