Great news!

After a bit of testing, the latest version of ari-mitel-acid seems to work just fine under a stock SME 5.6 install. The only thing that won't work is the trevor-guardian package because it writes the rules to ipchains as opposed to iptables... now... if someone wants to update that (my iptables experience is REALLY limited at the moment) then I'll update the how-to to include it.

Cheers!
Ari
There are two kinds of scripts on the guardian site (http://www.chaotic.org/guardian/) - one for iptables and the other for ipchains. All that is required is to copy the iptables scripts to /bin/guardian_block.sh and /bin/guardian_unblock.sh respectively.

If you look in the current guardian_block.sh you will notice the only addition to the script is a line to send an email to admin when another IP is blocked.

I have been testing it for a couple of days now, and it seems to work OK :)
