Maybe don't forget the layers interface to include in. Think it will be
quite difficult, as it is application oriented and not canvas oriented.


I haven't looked at that much but I am pointing ddisp->shell at the user
interface.  I was thinking that most of the code won't care that the diagram
is sitting inside a notebook and I would just have to accommodate the code
that does care.   The first thing that I am worrying about is closing a
diagram without killing the main window and making sure that the window
shown is the active display.
