I'm wondering about this myself.
My current plan to get from SFO to the Aloft is via BART (SFO -> Balboa
Park -> Bay Fair -> Freemont) and then take a bus or a taxi from
Freemont to the hotel.
Just FYI, I took BART and buses to my hotel last year, it took 2.5 hours.
When Andrew drove me back to the airport from facebook, it took 30 minutes.
Something to think about :)
Also, the site 511.org is awesome for using public transportation in the
bay area.
But, thinking about it a little more, a car is starting to look pretty
good.
I will have a car this year, and will play taxi driver from Aloft to
facebook.
