I agree with Ary that grep hits a lot of false positives and all the formatting tricks don't work with other people's code, plus I've never liked IDES. Dscanner's D declaration finder has become indispensable in the short time I've been using it, to the point where I dread going back to searching for C declarations and getting stuck with grep again.
