Hi Martin, Yes I had seen the cmake branch and was considering trying it.. I'll try it soon and let you know. However I now suspect the problem is with my gcc version/config messing up the -fPIC argument. What compiler and version do you use to compile? I use GCC 4.6.2 on a x86_64 system.
