The context for that particular piece is as follows: I wrote it as a
position statement for an upcoming workshop on "The study of visual
aesthetics in HCI". Hence the superficial treatment of multiple
issues, each of which deserving much more attention. I simply wanted
to introduce myself and my position to the other workshop
participants. I trust that the discussions at the workshop will go
deeper and eventually result in more thorough writings.
