I had bad RSI a few years ago and trained myself to use the mouse with my left hand. My tablet is to the right of my keyboard (I can't draw left-handed, but mousing is easy).

When in more intensive use, I do the prop-the-keyboard-up move and usually us it directly in front of me, though I still find I cramp my hand up unnaturally with it sometimes because I have it one-to-one mapped to the screen.
