Seems i somewhat got  the info i was asking for.
Like u listed the domain areas of IxD with respect to mediums.
I would love to see certain responses from others like that.

Like where is IxD research going on in insttitutions across the world.
For example media labs in devices or Ixd for screen based media like web or
its extension in mobile.
Apart from base HCI directories like
http://hcibib.org/hci-sites/LABORATORIES.html
which are majorly IxD related to HCI extension, i am not aware of any lists
where core design based  IxD research is being done.
Such a research could then act as extention to create awareness about IxD in
those areas where there are lesser contributers from and hence can generate
opportunity areas across the world for the field. Like i see many students
in India who are unaware of the field but are good at IxD skills, however
since they dont get into Big schools where IxD is taught officially they
reject the idea of getting into the field.
