In the context that I've seen them used, they're totally
inappropriate as they're disruptive and easily confused with error
messages.  In that same context, I couldn't think of a likely
scenario that they'd need them, however I think it's useful to give
examples of where they work best so that they better understand their
appropriate application.

Steve - I'd be interested to hear how they go in testing.  Thanks
