I hear ya. I'm still fiddling around with the mix. I think I have 2:1 compression on the vocals right now. I'm new to the vocal mixing so it's been a bit of trial and error. The final final version should have these kinks worked out and should be mastered properly with proper hardware to be pressed up on disc.
