This thread has been quiet for a while, and so I thought I could hijack it.
Problem is that I'm replacing an old Thinkpad with a new one. To gain driver support for its newer hardware features I'm more or less forced to install Sid. On the other hand, I want to avoid systemd and udev. While I don't mind apps relying on a simulated systemd, I don't use a desktop environment or a network manager.
