Another problem with systemd and I will switch to devuan.

I had a fierce struggle with rc.local and systemd.
Took me 24 hours,
lots of coffee and pizza, (to abandon rc.local for most part in the end)

I am feeling a pain in my heart if I have to leave debian.

It was my companion for 10 years.

Now the question: I run debian stretch.
is it hard to switch to devuan or is a new install preferred?

Sick and tired of systemd,

Is use Debian Stretch without systemd or pulseaudio. One box is a server, the other runs XFCE. After upgrading to Stretch, I had to remove the XFCE meta package, in order to get rid of xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin; I use qasmixer instead. On the server I had to write a script to start the VLAN - PPPoE internet link. Before a major release update, I do a systemd reverse dependency check. So far so good.
When this fails I probably switch to Devuan.

Regards,
Rob
