Ilke,

Try some the UK links from SOCITM:
http://www.socitm.gov.uk/egovindex/policy.htm

And another set of links from the Social Science Gateway:

Note to DO-WIRE members - More e-politics, but check out: Internet World:
Parties, Governments and Online Democracy by Pippa Norris (2000)

In the end, you will find no shortage of ideas - the challenge is sorting out
the good ideas from the less practical as well as pushing aside the very
practical bad ideas.

P.S. Correction on Boston. In switching my DC event number from "almost 20" to
"almost 15" it ended up as 50 last week - we had a great turn out of 15 people
or was that 50 million, yeah 50 million. :-)

Dear All,

i am writing to you from a strategic communications consultancy firm in
turkey. One of my clients is a leading it company here in turkey and is
currently handling the issue of the promotion of a digital government in
turkey. other than carrying out concrete projects (such as making the
social security sytem and national health services digital) in cooperation
with the government, my client is also carrying out projects to acknowledge
the public on this issue.

one of the tools we are using is a web site, which you can visit at the
adreess : http://www.dijitaldevlet.com this website is now going to be redesigned
both in content and in appereance. i know i am taking up your valuable
time, however, i must tell you that i am in fact desperate for some good
ideas. currently the web site broadcasts news from turkish press on
digital gevernment, digital economy, digital democracy etc. (the news you
will see now is really out of date but negotiations with the media tracking
agency have been completed and soon the news will be fully up to date). my
client has held two pannel discussions on the matter with leading names in
their areas and the comments of those are also in the website. there are
links to other relevant websites world wide, but i still am not content
with the out come.

i am continiously searching the web for new ideas (and getting quite
frustrated actually) as you would imagine this takes a lot of time and and
as you may already know the economic situation in turkey right now is very
fluctuant so i also need to work on daily issues too.

after boring you to death with my problems (i hope you have read up to
here) i am asking you al if you would be so kind as to send me any
suggestions you might have to help me develop this web site. in return i
can only offer you my thanx and grattitude and a link to your web site (if
you have one that is!!!).

i promise no more long e-mails. thank you all for your interest.....hope to
hear from you soon.

Best regards,

Ýlke Aksoy
