For anyone who uses New Relic, I wrote a plugin agent that provides a rich dashboard UI for Dropwizard applications with support for alerting whenever your application enters an unhealthy state.
The company I work for has been using it in production for some time now to monitor critical DW applications and I've been super happy with it -- particularly its ability to alert on healthcheck failures and maintain historical state about which check(s) failed. For a preview of the dashboard see: https://github.com/dbaggott/newrelic-dropwizard#new-relic-plugin-dashboard-ui A New Relic (NR) plugin agent for monitoring the health and performance of > one or more Dropwizard applications over http using the applications' > /healthcheck and /metrics administrative endpoints. This plugin allows you to easily receive alerts via NR whenever your > Dropwizard application enters into an unhealthy state.
