Received my DONGLE today, and encountered a problem with the Software on my Desktop Computer.
Installed Software on my Laptop, and all operates normally. Installed Software on my Desktop, and when I open DVTool.jar I do not get the DV Dongle Tool program display. Both Computers are running Windows XP with all Service Packs and Updates. Both Computers are running Java Version 6 Update 5. When I open DVTool.jar on the Laptop, the javaw.exe Process starts and I can operate the DONGLE normally. When I open DVTool.jar on the Desktop, the javaw.exe Process starts, AND a reg.exe Process also starts. I do not get the DV Dongle Tool window. However, if I use Task Manager to CLOSE reg.exe, the DV Dongle Tool window appears and operates normally. Any clue as to why reg.exe (the same version of which is on both the Laptop and the Desktop in the \Windows\system32 folder) also opens on the Desktop? Thanks for any help. George
