I'm running OS 8.6 on my 2400/180/80mg and I installed iTunes via the 8.6
hack. Check versiontracker. It allows you to use itunes even if you don't
have OS 9. It runs okay. A little boggy at times if resorting songs. I
attributed it to the over 400 megs of music on my 2400. I prefer my Macast.
Try MP3 Strip for quick playing from the control panel too!
