Silverlining 5.8.3 does not support IDE, I just checked it. Why OS9 drive
setup wouldn't run b/c of the appearance lib, I dunno. I would suggest that
you download the OS 8.1 disk tools floppy from Apple and give the copy of
Drive setup on that disk a shot. It should work just fine.
