Hi guys, I maintained ibus-mozc in upstream and actually handled very similar issue for GNOME shell.
My guts feeling is that this issue is a Unity version of https://code.google.com/p/mozc/issues/detail?id=199 and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1027028 If my assumption is true, all you need to do is just setting GTK_INPUT_PURPOSE_PASSWORD into the password field on the lock screen. Both IBus 1.5.5 and Mozc 1.13.1651.102 have already been aware of GTK_INPUT_PURPOSE_PASSWORD attribute. Here is the list of relevant bugs and commits and announce. Hope this helps. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=891835 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=691392 https://github.com/ibus/ibus/commit/927e9f58da9b4a9898403c8e339109e2ad2fa966 https://github.com/ibus/ibus/commit/3b3a7ceccbf75f36dee0df45589d79f7e96131f4 https://groups.google.com/d/msg/ibus-devel/mvCHDO1BJUw/hSOCNHSDwPQJ https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1013948 https://code.google.com/p/mozc/issues/detail?id=199 ** Bug watch added: code.google.com/p/mozc/issues #199 http://code.google.com/p/mozc/issues/detail?id=199 ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #1027028 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1027028 ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #891835 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=891835 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #691392 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=691392 ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #1013948 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1013948 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu.
