I cannot use alt+e, s to choose the Sort action from the edit menu. The underline that should be under the accelerator key is missing. The app's context menus still have accelerators. They are present when running the menu in the apps window (in a standard gnome desktop session). I believe this happens for all menus. This is my list of apps that are harder to use because they require me to look at the menu instead of the application: gedit, terminal, evolution, empathy, banshee, shotwell, and openoffice. I am running natty now, but I noticed this behaviour in maverick.
