Couple sets up N.J. wolf refuge

The haunting sound of howling wolves will soon be heard in northern New =
Jersey for the first time in 200 years or more. The cry of the =
endangered animal will resound across the region's stretch of the =
Appalachian Trail and upper reaches of the Delaware River, a short drive =
from New York City, as only the second refuge for wolves in the nation =
opens in mid-July. "We think the wolf has gotten a bad rap," said Pam =
Bacon, 53, who will open The Lakota Wolf Refuge with her husband Dan, =
67, a wildlife photographer whose pictures of wolves inspired the =
project.=20
