Job
Description:
The
Information Services Department has open positions for highly motivated
applications Analyst/Programmers on the technical side of their Healthcare
Electronic Commerce (EC) / Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. The responsibility of the people filling
these positions will be to assist in the continuing development and support of
microcomputer client/server-based applications & systems used to
electronically process various healthcare transactions, such as medical claims,
remittance, health plan enrollment, healthcare eligibility, referral
certification/authorization, etc.
The persons filling these positions will be involved in developing or
supporting systems that may be vendor supplied and/or in-house developed using
products which may include Microsoft's Visual Basic, C, Access, and SQL Server,
Seagate's Crystal Reports, or PaperFree's WinMap. These persons may also be using Web
technologies in a Microsoft Windows/NT environment, and be involved in building
DOS batch files, ProComm script files, TCP/IP and FTP scripts. The persons filling these positions will
be involved in working with many other company entities and insurance trading partners
to establish and maintain the electronic translation and transfer of healthcare
transactions between trading partners.
Required
Qualifications:
All
candidates
must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Must have
excellent analytical and technical skills with experience in using personal
computer applications, preferably in a Windows/NT environment. Must be self-motivated to keep abreast of
new technologies. Must have
excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work both
independently and in a team environment. Experience with several of the
following technologies is desirable: EDI mapping, Visual Basic, Microsoft SQL
Server, Internet Technologies including HTML, Database, Cold Fusion, and
Microsoft Internet Technologies are desirable.
Other
Requirements:
Experience with electronic
commerce (EC) / Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), healthcare insurance billing,
and/or translation/mapping products would be very
desirable.
