So interesting about the "having a degree" thing. I went through a BA way 
before EDI was invented. Got an MBA after it was invented, but nobody in the 
university could even spell EDI then. Had an ex-Air Force guy (same one) 
working for me in a couple of companies. Knew more EDI than all the "computer 
science" people put together. The admiral that was referred to was Grace 
Hopper. Pushed formation of EDI amongst a million other good things. 'Nother 
admiral aware of and pushing EDI was Hyman Rickover (nuclear subs). Always 
trying to find a way to save a buck. After all, that is how we all got into EDI 
anyway.
