I used this method with preview 2a (a few times I had to merge  
patches by hand), but somehow I need to make a new start. I could  
have fetched with CVS the whole Unicode Emacs sources, but this would  
have reduced the valuable spam bandwidth on the net. So I took my  
working copy on disk and "upgraded" its copy to Emacs.app. It would  
be nice if we could get via CVS the ns* files, too ...
