I think hiding menubar is meaningful only with a full-screen frame and
I've said so to the author of the menubar-hiding patch.  But for
proper full-screen implementation, one would want the concept of
"monitors" for multi-head environments first.  This is of course a
platform-independent issue.  Emacs 23 might be a good opportunity to
introduce such a new concept.
