The way things work is that popular distros are gonna be popular, and lots of people will want to use long term stable ones. EFL will stay a second class citizen on such stable distros if there's too many dependencies on stuff that's too new to make it into stable distros. It's not just about my choice, that's never my issue when I push for less bleeding at the edge. Sure E might have a harder time on Ubuntu, but EFL might get a better chance. As for mir vs wayland, I've not made up my mind yet, not even looked at that yet. Too bleeding edge.
