Semi transparent windows has been possible for quite some time in E, I use them all the time. There are various colours that can be tweaked. I Personally like my unfocused windows to be semi transparent, so I tweaked "Composite Focus-out Color"'s Object colour. -- A big old stinking pile of genius that no one wants coz there are too many silver coated monkeys in the world.
