I didn't use Insert Date, I just typed the date into the Birthday field. Add to calendar brought up a new calendar event. Insert Today's Date put today's date into the field. Before you reinstall, try running Disk Utility and doing a Verify Permissions on your startup disk. I regularly do this, especially after an OS upgrade, and have had no problems at all. -- Glenn L.
