I also suggest FileMaker Pro. In addition to a greater ease of use for its
database features, it offers far more layout options, picture fields, simple
scripting, etc. You could use a calculation field to combine any info you
want into HTML for export to a web page. Without too much work, you could
enter all the data and then set up different layouts for the roster list,
the registration form, the "mug shot" page, certificates of completion, etc.
etc. This is its main advantage over Excel, which does a great job of
handling simple lists, but is not up to a real database job.
