The goal of the 0.4 series is to produce snapshots for developers to work on.
In theory, you should be able to build stuff on top of 0.4 and not have it
broken by future release.

The goal of 0.5 is to have enough of the user-visible portions (window manager,
theme, apps) working that people who aren't developers can have a poke at it.
There will probably be no 0.5.1; 0.5 will be a single snapshot release then we
will go straight on to working on 0.6, which will be another developer-focussed
release.

If you want to get involved, running trunk is much better than waiting for a
release.
