2. Course in India Scheduled for February/March

After a hiatus due to unsafe conditions internationally, the
University's
study abroad program is being revived, with a course in India scheduled
for
February and March.

The course will focus on Maharishi Vedic Science(SM), and students will
tour
the sites made famous by University Founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
because of
his activities there.

The itinerary includes Mumbai, Kovalam, Trivandrum, Kanyakumari,
Rameshwaram, Madurai, Chennai, Kanchipuram, Vararnasi, Allahabad,
Jabalpur,
Brahmasthan, Agra (Taj Mahal), Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Delhi.

"This is the opportunity of a lifetime to see Maharishi's India, Vedic
India," said Chris Jones, one of the teachers of the course. The group
will
travel under the auspices of the Indian Transcendental Meditation
program
movement. They will meet with students from the schools in India
established
by Maharishi, listen to Vedic chanting, and visit holy sites and
locations
where Maharishi was active.

"There is no better way to see India than with a group of sidhas and
meditators traveling together, doing program together, and studying
Maharishi Vedic Science in India," Dr. Jones said.

The course will span the Forest Academy and Block 6. The section for men
will be abroad Sunday, February 1-Monday, March 9. The section for
ladies
and couples will be abroad Thursday, February 5-Friday, March 13.

The cost will be $3,200, not including airfare. The cost for students
paying
full room and board for spring semester will be $2,950. Airfare will be
approximately $1,500. In addition, for non-M.U.M. students there will be
a
tuition fee of $1,750 ($750 for alumni).

A 50% deposit will be due by November 7 and the balance by January 15.
Airfare will be purchased separately.

Travel within India will be by bus, plane, and train, which is included
in
the cost.

There was a bomb blast this afternoon at 2:15 p.m. at the Mehrauli
flower market in New Delhi. Local media is reporting 2 fatalities and
18 injured.

Americans traveling or residing in India are strongly encouraged to
maintain a high level of vigilance, remain aware of their surroundings,
monitor local news reports, avoid crowded places, and take appropriate
steps to bolster their personal security. If unattended packages are
spotted, American citizens should immediately exit the area and report
