No not where the menu bar disappears. That's the whole problem. When I
click the "maximize" button on a window on a secondary screen, pre-14
versions of Finale increase the size of the window such that the window bar
is hidden by the menu bar.

Command-period has no effect for me, other than to display/hide the menu
bar in full screen mode.

Finale 2012 provides Window->Zoom Window that gets me out of the jam. I was
able to get out of the jam in Fin08 using a shareware app called SizeUp.
