Could someone beat me with the clue stick - this is my first serious
attempt at compiling things on OS X. I'm having a shot at building
Evolution 1.0, now that the necessary prerequisites have moved into
stable.

First, could someone tell me if there's a known root cause for this kind
of behaviour?

----
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link cc
-L/sw/src/evolution-1.0-1/evolution-1.0/src/.libs -Wall -Wunused
-L/sw/lib -o libeconduit.la
rm -fr .libs/libeconduit.la .libs/libeconduit.* .libs/libeconduit.*
ar cru .libs/libeconduit.al
ar: no archive members specified
usage: ar -d [-TLv] archive file ...
[...]
----

Looks like libeconduit.al isn't getting built. Any pointers as to what I
should start poking at? Everything builds fine up to that point,
including some veryt similar libtool runs. No other error messages
anywhere ...

Oh, small request: could someone put the "include sys/types.h before
dirent.h" problem into an FAQ somewhere. I manged to get Google to pull
it out of the list archives, but it wasn't easy. Spent about half an
hour on that one. :)

Thanks,
Mike.
