In testing some builds of the APBS Adpative Poisson-Boltzmann Solver
package under fink, I noticed that the g95 compiler currently in 10.3
unstable builds a usable version of apbs. However I was shocked at how
much of a performance regression there was from g77. APBS runs almost
60% slower when compiled with g95 compared to g77. Is there a specific
reason for the poor code optimization?
