If I understand this correctly, it sounds like libgcc being depreciated
in 10.6 and later in favor if libSystem. It wouldn't surprise me since
I never could puzzle out what the relationship would be between clang
and libgcc. At first glance, either one needs to build FSF gcc against
the system libgcc using --with-slib= or the unwinder symbols need to
be moved into a libgcc-ext and everything in FSF gcc built against
that. The second approach would certainly seem to rule out mixing gfortran
code with the system compiler.
                 Jack
ps I'll try a build of current FSF gcc trunk against the SL system
libgcc and see how badly the testsuite breaks (or unbreaks).
