When trying to install openldap24 on an older 10.4.11 system, I get
the following:

Fink isn't sure how to install the above packages safely. You may be
able to
fix things by running:
fink scanpackages
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openldap24=2.4.21-1
Failed: Fink::SysState: Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies

Not being intimately familiar with these packages, it seems that
openldap24 now incorporates all the features of openldap-ssl (which
now appears to be considered obsolete). If they're really
compatible, it would be nice if the dependencies for samba-ldap were
updated to include openldap >= 2.3 or openldap-ssl >= 2.2.22-28.
