If you don't mind me adding my 2 cents in to the discussion, I think
including the '@' symbol should be used just for readability sakes. When
I am writing dynamic SQl the '@' symbol is a context clue for a
parameter. Just seems like less room for confusion, but of course it is
just a preference.
