I've seen the same phenomenon when trying to display popup windows with Firebug enabled. As I stated in a separate thread, Firebug seems to cause popup windows to display as full-screen - but blank - windows (but only if RoboForm is also running). Repeated attempts to display popups continue to fail but memory consumption soars. I mention this here not to address the popup issue but in case it might give a clue to someone.
