You have great service, obviously. Not everyone provides service that good.
For instance, at my last place of employment, the provider was
MCI-Worldcomm. Their guarantee was 95% uptime I believe. HA! I believe we
averaged about 2 link failures for our WAN/Internet connections per week.
This was over a period of several months also.
Their service may be better now, I really can't speculate.

Everyone keeps talking about what the ISP does when the link breaks. I
have
a full T1 from DIGEX (now a division of Intermedia). I've only had 5
minutes
of down time in almost 2 years. They're support is super too.
