I am trying to set up out-of-band dial up access to the console ports on my routers.
I would like to do something like this
PSTN----Modem----Appliance----Router Console
An operator dials the modem using a teminal package, is connected to the authetication
appliance. He does token authencation with the applicance then is connected to the
Router console if successful.
The appliance has In and Out RS232 ports and stores keys of tokens that are allowed
access. The device does not talk on the network to a central auth server.
The device I am looking for is the equivalent of the Security Dynamics ACM100 but I
want challenge response, not time synch with cards that eventually die.
Does anyone know of a device that will do this?
