Sorry, couldn't agree less. Some (most?) people, not already converted to the 
gospel of security, need to be *shown* just what can be done.

Here are some resources:
The book Maximum Security.
The book Hacking Exposed.
Both of these books come high recommended by others in the security field.
I haven't quite gotten to them yet, so I can give my own opinion.
