Could be they just have nothing to say?

It's been years since I paid any attention to CERT, so things might have
changed since then, but at least a few years back their official stance was
that they were, as far as we were concerned, an information sink, not a
source. They might issue an announcement, but it'll only be months or years
after every affected vendor has gotten around to fixing every affected system.
So as a source of security information, there's no point in subscribing to
anything; just hit the web site to learn about what problems were hot topics
some time in the past, back when NCP was all the rage.

For current information, my favourite other lists are firewall-wizards (hosted
at nfr) and bugtraq (hosted at securityfocus).
